Caden Travis Federoff

Thankfully he was able to hang out until his scheduled c section date. I was getting pretty nervous that he wouldn't because after my doctors appointment on Tuesday I found out I was 1cm and 50% effaced a change from last Tuesday where I was high and closed. Also after that appointment I was having some pretty frequent contractions. Thankfully Matt came up Tuesday night and spent the night on our couch just in case we needed to make a quick exit to the hospital. By Wednesday morning the contractions were coming much less frequently so I was able to put in my last day at school before Caden's arrival. 

We had pizza as our last meal of a family of 3. Addyson gave Josh a manicure and I gave one to Addy. We just hung out and enjoyed our time together. 

Thursday morning Mimi and Pop battled the black ice to come up around 5 to watch Addy as we headed to the hospital. Addyson had woken up at 4am so I grabbed her and took her into our bed for some last minute snuggles. At 5 we got up (Addy stayed asleep in our bed) we got ready, and headed to the hospital to be there at 6. 

Caden Travis Federoff was born at 8:31am weighing 7lbs 13oz and measuring 20 inches long. So far he is a very peaceful, sweet, sleepy baby. We are all so in love.

Our last nap, just the two of us

So yesterday was Mommy Day. Addy and I spent our last day together, just the two of us. Definitely a bittersweet moment! I am so very excited for Caden's arrival on Thursday, but so very sad these moments of just the two of us are over. I know everyone says that your heart just grows and I know that it will but it's just a little hard to see right now. I am actually sitting here in the hospital waiting area right now for my pre admission testing getting a little bit watery eyed!  So I'll just leave you with a picture of our last nap before Caden arrives from yesterday. :)

Baby shower and baby update

Since Saturday was Clair's baby shower, Addyson and Josh got to spend some quality time together. They got to go on a lunch date to Chick-fil-a, then spent time outside sledding and shared a nap together! Sounds like a perfect day in my book!

I had a great time at the shower, too. It was nice catching up with all the girl cousins and seeing Clair's and Jaclyn's baby bumps growing.

Valentines Day 2014

Addy received a many of Valentines gifts for Valentines Day. She loved them all. She got a musical Princess card from Uncle Hal (which she brought into school to show off), Candy and a card from Mimi and Pop, Cutepig and a card from Mom mom and Pop Pop (which she also wanted to show off), a bag of goodies and a book from Emily and Chris, and candy, crafts and a car from Mommy and Daddy.

Snow day #6 and Addyson iPad creations

This winter has been been VERY snowy. This past week we had our 6th snow day! The biggest storm yet with about 12 inches of snow. We are really starting to run out of room for all of this white stuff. Fortunately, Josh had a helper this time shoveling the snow.

Caden's Letters

By my Dad are awesome! He's so talented, and I know Caden will love them just as much as Addyson loves hers!

And Mom mom's reward for bringing the letters up to us was a dance with Addyson followed by a manicure.
